Madeira Cake

How about a very classic and easy madeira cake recipe? I have written down the basic recipe. Of course you can still level up your cake, in terms of adding more flavours to the dough, like cherries for example. Or you just serve the cake with whipping cream. It’s basically a simple bundt cake everybody likes and only 8 ingredients are needed. A soft golden and buttery afternoon cake….

Ingredients

Step by step method

1. Step 

Beat the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt until light and creamy. Stir in the lemon juice and beat in the eggs, one at a time, beating constantly. Mix until a homogeneous mass is formed.

2. Step 

Now sift in the dry ingredients and fold in. Pour the batter into a greased ring cake tin and bake at 180 degrees for about an hour. If you like, you can sprinkle it with powdered sugar after it has cooled and enjoy.
