The classic american apple pie is super yummy and tastes even better with a bit whipping cream.

Divide the pie dough on two. Lay out a half of the dough in a round mold or a casserole (diameter 26 cm). Trim off the edges.
Fill it with the prepared filling. Roll out the second half of the dough as well. Cut into app. 2 cm stripes which are placed crosswise on the apple filling. One stripe over and one under the other one (see photo)👆. (In case you have dough leftovers: knead them with another tablespoon of sugar and bake as cookies.)
Sprinkle 1 tsp cinnamon on the pie and bake for about 1 hour at 200 °C until golden brown. Now you can whip a little cream and serve it with the pie. Enjoy it...
