This is a super moist german fanta cake. recipe. It is very fluffy, creamy, and fresh. The perfect sheet cake! It’s perfect for parties or events with a lot of people. But of course, you can also eat the cake at home. You are welcome to halve the recipe and bake the cake in a springform pan. The taste of the fanta (orange lemonade) gives the sour cream cake a fresh, fruity taste. Bon appetit!

step by step method:

1. step 

Beat the eggs with the sugar for 3 to 4 minutes until light yellow and fluffy. Sift flour and baking powder into the batter and pour in the orange soda and butter. Mix in quickly and shortly just until everything has combined.

2. step 

Now pour the dough into a baking frame (44 cm x 35 cm) on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 160 degrees top and bottom heat or circulating air, for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Then spread the canned tangerines on the lukewarm biscuit.

3. step 

For the cream, put all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix until stiff. Spread the cream on the biscuit and chill in the fridge. Pour the orange lemonade with the agar agar powder into a small saucepan and let this mixture simmer for 2 minutes.

4. step 

When the lemonade has cooled to lukewarm, spread it over the cream with a spoon. Use a fork to draw streaks through the cake. Chill the cake for 2 hours and then the delicious sheet cake is ready to be served...

tips & variations:

  • If your tray is too big to fit into your fridge, you can cut your cake in two after spreading it with cream and lift it onto 2 flat plates.

  • Serve the Fanta cake with a glass of orange lemonade if you like. ;)
